Sewing Machine Class

On March 6 & 13, from 1-3pm, at the West Tisbury Library, come learn how to use your sewing machine with MaryAnn Dolezsar. Bring in your machine, manual, a few supplies, and your questions, and MaryAnn will show you how to get started! Free and open to the public. Space is limited, and participants are asked to come to both sessions. Please email wt_mail@clamsnet.org to sign up.

The first session will be “Sewing Machine 101.” Please bring thread, bobbins, shears or scissors, and your sewing machine manual. Remember to bring your sewing machine!

The second week, we will practice what we learned and make a small bag with a zipper. Please bring your sewing machine, 3/8 of a yard of fabric, and a zipper at least 7 inches long, along with thread shears and common pins.

MaryAnn is a former family and consumer science teacher with thirty-four years of experience. During that time, she taught high school students Foods and Nutrition, Clothing and Textiles, Child Development and Child Care, which included an active pre-school.
