
Rock & Roll Show featuring Mike Mok and the Em-Tones
On Thursday, August 8th, at 3:30pm, come to the West Tisbury Library for a rock and roll show with Mike Mok and the Em-Tones from New York City. Singer Mike Mok (guitar), Simon Chardiet (lead guitar), JJ Murphy (drums), Greg Albert (bass) will be performing originals and covers. This event is free and open to the public.
Mike Mok is a long time resident of the Lower East Side. In Holland it is reported that he played with Chuck Berry. The band has had 18 European tours.
Simon Chardiet brings his hot guitar everywhere he goes, including when backing up Bo Diddley, Dee Dee Ramone; on major label recordings with punk superstars Rancid, Mojo Nixon, Ska stalwarts the Slackers and many more.
JJ Murphy has an unbelievable career including playing drums for the Artimus Pyle Band (of Lynyrd Skynyrd), the Junior League (out of New Orleans) and on one occasion covering the drum chair in Molly Hatchet.
Greg Albert is a founding member with the new and sensational psychedelic pop rockers Mush Foot.
