Join glass artist Courtney McCloskey at the West Tisbury Library for an exciting introduction to glass mosaics! In this four-week series, you will learn the basic techniques such as cutting glass, adhering, and creating shapes to compose unique designs. Students will create their own small glass mosaics that they will be able to take home.
Meets Mondays from 10:30am-12:30pm: October 20, October 27, November 3, and November 10.
No previous experience required, this class is open to all levels. Free and open to the public. Space is limited, and participants are asked to commit to all four sessions. Please register by emailing wt_mail@clamsnet.org.
About the instructor: Courtney McCloskey is a glass artist and educator. She is inspired by the environments around her and how they impact the quality of life. McCloskey works with several fabrication and public access glass studios. These studios have a great influence on her personal work and teaching style. Her current body of work emphasizes being resourceful with materials and building communities within the classrooms.
