In this class, participants will practice loving-kindness meditation, which involves directing positive intentions and goodwill towards oneself and others. This practice aims to cultivate compassion, empathy, and love, fostering emotional well-being and healthier relationships. This class will also include Insight meditation, also known as Vipassana or mindfulness meditation. This technique involves observing thoughts, sensations, and experiences with non-judgmental awareness. Its objective is to develop profound insight into the nature of existence, fostering mindfulness, clarity, and a deeper understanding of oneself and reality.
Classes include 20 minutes dedicated to exploring loving-kindness meditation techniques and 30 minutes dedicated to Insight Meditation involving prostration walking and sitting. Think of this as a class to train the mind, gaining happiness from loving-kindness and acceptance, along with compassionate care for every current phenomenon of our physical and mental state. This is a beginner-to-experienced meditation class that includes loving-kindness meditation, mindfulness meditation, and sharing experiences.
