
Book Talk with Holly Bellebuono
On Thursday, May 1st at 4:30 p.m. the West Tisbury Library welcomes author Holly Bellebuono! Holly will be sharing about her newly published book, Once Upon a Place. The event is free and open to the public, with a book signing following the talk.
Once Upon a Place explores narratives from modern film, famous fairy tales, and ancient mythology to define the five core locations that shape every story: the Cavern, the Deep, the Vessel, the Forest, and the Labyrinth. It explores personal transformation through stories and the symbolic imagery that guides us.
Holly Bellebuono, MPA, is an internationally known natural health expert, herbalist and entrepreneur, bringing 30+ years of leadership in the natural and organic products industry to her passion for supporting health and business.
Holly has published 8 books in 3 languages, including the award-winning documentary book Women Healers of the World. In addition to herbal and entrepreneur courses, Holly supports aspiring nonfiction and memoir authors through the Book Proposal Bootcamp course and the Book Proposal Coaching Package.
Holly has won two small business awards plus a nonprofit executive award, having spent 7 years serving as an executive for environmental, educational, and human service nonprofits. She holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration: Environmental Policy from Appalachian State University and has executive certificates in Nonprofit Finance (Cornell), Corporate Social Responsibility (London Business School), and Impact Measurement & Management of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (Duke University). In addition to natural and organic product business development, Holly has served on the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center’s Community of Practice and the Martha’s Vineyard Climate Action Plan Steering Committee (Economic Resilience), among others.
