Ayurvedic Lifestyle and Diet for Balance in the Fall

This October, join us at the West Tisbury Library for a 3-part workshop series led by Sonja Josephson, Kripalu-certified Ayurvedic Health Counselor. Come explore Ayurvedic diet, lifestyle and self-care practices for the fall season.

Ayurveda has its roots in ancient India. It is among the world’s oldest holistic healing systems, dating back over 3,000 years. Ayurveda is an elemental science, offering a framework of holistic healing which connects the individual to the qualities and rhythms of nature and each season.

Schedule:
October 11,  Part 1 – Covering the essential understandings of Ayurveda as an elemental system, including the doshas, and constitution types.

October 18,  Part 2 – An exploration of lifestyle practices that help promote balance in the fall. During this session, we will engage in a grounding meditation and movement practice.

October 25, Part 3 – An exploration of food, drinks and herbs that help promote balance in the fall. During this session we will craft a common Ayurvedic digestive tea blend to bring home.

About the instructor:
Sonja Josephson is a Kripalu-certified Ayurvedic health counselor. She specializes in offering individual Ayurvedic consultations, and group workshops. Her offerings aim to uncover the innate wisdom and intuition of her clients.
