
Art Exhibit at the West Tisbury Library: Martha Moore
For the month of May, the art work of West Tisbury artist Martha Moore will be on display in the library’s community room. Martha Moore has worked in various media all her life- oil, pastel, watercolor, etching, silkscreen, and photography. She has also designed land and seascapes in fabric. She minored in Studio Art at Columbia University and continued studio work in graphics, painting and photography at Trinity College, the Hartford Art School and Radcliffe College.
In 1990-91 she worked in watercolors on Martha’s Vineyard and exhibited at the Field Gallery in West Tisbury. She has also exhibited her work with the Connecticut Society of Women Painters, Cambridge Art Association and Radcliffe Seminars Watercolor Master Class. In 1993 she had a one woman show in Boylston Hall, Harvard University. She spent a year painting in 1994 and 2003 in Taos, New Mexico and in Redway, California, and San Juan, Washington in 1994-1997.
There will be a reception on Friday, May 16th, 3:30-4:30 pm
