Book Talk with Miranda Spivack

Join us Monday, June 30th at noon for a book talk with Miranda Spivack.

Spivack, a editor and award-winning reporter (Hartford Courant, Washington Post, Portland Press Herald, The Springfield Daily News) will be sharing stories from her book “Backroom Deals in Our Backyards: How Government Secrecy Harms Our Communities—and the Local Heroes Fighting Back.”

Learn about “accidental activists” across the country, fighting back against government and private sector corruption and a lack of transparency. The lessons of these local activists whose work then rippled outward nationally resonate now more than ever.

Books will be available for sale after the talk from the author.

This event is free and open to the public.
