Book Talk: Professor Carol Gilligan in Conversation with Daphne Merkin

Join legendary psychologist, feminist thinker, and author Carol Gilligan at the West Tisbury Library for a conversation about her new novel, Solstice, with writer Daphne Merkin. A book signing will follow the discussion. This program is free and open to the public.

Carol Gilligan’s seminal classic In a Different Voice revolutionized the study of girls, women, and human psychology. She is currently a University Professor at the New York University School of Law. At Harvard, where she was the first Graham Professor of Gender Studies, her award-winning research led to the founding of Harvard’s Center on Gender and Education. Last year Carol won the prestigious Kyoto Prize for her body of work. Solstice is her second novel.
