Community Poetry Reading

On Sunday, April 6, at 2:30pm, at the West Tisbury Library, come to a Community Poetry Reading featuring community members reading their own poems and/or the poems of others. All are welcome. Attend as a reader or a listener or both! This event is hosted by Martha’s Vineyard Poet Laureate Claudia Taylor. Numbers will be drawn from a hat to determine the reading order. There’s no sign up needed to participate. This event is free and open to the public. 

Claudia Taylor is the Martha’s Vineyard Poet Laureate for 2024-2026. She received a BA in English and education from the University of York and an MPhil in children’s literature from the University of Cambridge. As a student, Claudia was awarded locally, nationally, and internationally for her poetry, including in the UK-based Foyle Young Poets Award.
