David Mintz Concert

On Sunday, February 16, at 2:30pm, join us at the West Tisbury Library for a concert featuring local musician David Mintz. The program will emphasize show tunes and pop songs from the 1930s and 1940s by Cole Porter, Jerome Kern, George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, and others. Join us as we dive into this richly inventive and entertaining music! This event is free and open to the public.

David Mintz was once an accomplished classical guitarist, then a Spanish-English interpreter in federal court in Manhattan for most of his working life. Since retiring and washing ashore in 2020, he has emerged as actor and singer-guitarist, performing in various venues including MV Playhouse, Built On Stilts and First Fridays festivals, and Pathways Arts. Specializing in the Great American Songbook — popular songs and jazz standards of the early to middle 20th century — his simple and direct approach emphasizes the elegance and beauty of the compositions.
