New Broadway Musicals Sing-Along & Talk

For fans of musical theater and Broadway! On Sunday, October 20, at 2:30pm, join Laura Stanfield Prichard at the West Tisbury Library for an engaging talk and fun “sing-along” class featuring greatest hits from recent Broadway musicals. This is a new Golden Age of Broadway, and attendees will receive free copies of all songs discussed. Musicals will include Newsies, Hamilton, Dear Evan Hansen, Waitress, Smash, In the Heights, and a few Stephen Sondheim favorites.

Both participants and observers are welcome. Great for music and drama students. Suitable for grades 6-adult. Free and open to the public.

Dr. Laura Stanfield Prichard is a teacher and musicologist based in the Boston Area. She is a Visiting Researcher at Harvard and gives frequent lectures for the San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco Opera, and Chicago Symphony. She lives in Boston and West Tisbury.
