“Don’t Lose Touch” Massage Therapy Workshop
On Monday, March 28 and Monday, April 4, from 1-4pm, please join us at the West Tisbury Library for an in-person massage therapy course. Free and open to the public. Update: no class April 4. Check back for new class dates!
Don’t Lose Touch is a workshop, created and conducted by Jeanette Steiner, presenting basic massage therapy techniques to stay in touch. The two day course will include a brief discussion on the origins and traditional history of massage, the power of touch and aspects of a ‘good’ massage. Participants will gain a greater understanding of anatomy from a therapeutic lens, learn a routine for self-massage and considerate approaches for sharing touch with others.
Please register for this workshop by emailing the library at wt_mail@clamsnet.org. Attending both sessions is recommended.
Jeanette Steiner completed 180 hours of Advanced Thai Massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand (2012) after which, she graduated the Advanced Professional Massage Therapy Program at Southern California Health Institute (2013). Her private practice, established in 2014 was featured on Voyage LA and was a 2017 Award recipient of ‘People Love Us On Yelp’.
