A closing reception will be held Tuesday, September 29th 12pm-2:30pm. The exhibit and reception is free and open to all.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Johnson states, \u201cThis group of paintings celebrates lichen-covered landscapes and fishing shack windows, all of which make connections. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The fishing shack windows connect and reflect views, and sometimes suggest still lives \u2014 window panes jammed with dusty paraphernalia. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pale lichen connects stone walls and trees, and makes the world green, while golden lichen creates spiral patterns against somber gravestones, connecting and transforming a dying place into a living one. <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many years, the beach was my favorite place for plein-air drawing.
