This event is free and open to the public.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Noepe: A Geological Overview of Martha\u2019s Vineyard<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> takes readers on a journey through the geological forces that shaped the island, from the ancient glaciers of the last Ice Age to its present-day landscape. Accessible to readers with or without a background in geology, the book explores Martha\u2019s Vineyard\u2019s unique geology and waterways while considering how climate change and rising sea levels may shape its future. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Dr. Caramanna<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> is an accomplished scientific diver and geologist who has spent decades exploring the underwater world. In 2015 he began collaborating with the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and was awarded the <\/span><b>Golden Trident<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in 2018 for his contributions to underwater science.
