The Craft of Poetry

Starting Wednesday, July 13th, West Tisbury Poet Laureate Tain Leonard-Peck will lead a series of poetry writing workshops on alternating summer Wednesdays from 4:30-5:30pm. This workshop focuses on building the fundamentals of crafting poetry, through analyzing original pieces submitted by workshop participants. Bring a poem you’ve previously written or try your hand at a new prompt. Prompts and themes will be provided to spark your creativity. Come explore poetry in an inclusive, welcoming environment! Please email your poems in advance to tainleonardpeck@gmail.com.

The first two sessions will meet in-person at the West Tisbury Library (a Zoom option will also be available). The following sessions will meet on Zoom. Email wt_mail@clamsnet.org to request the Zoom invitation. Class dates: 7/13, 7/27, 8/10, and 8/24. Free and open to the public.
