WRITING & READING WORKSHOP FOR TWEENS AND TEENS AT WEST TISBURY LIBRARY!

 

The West Tisbury Library and Mathea Morais will be offering a Writing & Reading Workshop for young people ages 9-14.

The workshop will be held :

MONDAY, JULY 11th , 10:30am-noon

TUESDAY, JULY 12th ,10:30am-noon,

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13th , 10:30am-noon,

THURSDAY, JULY 14th ,10:30am-noon

FRIDAY, JULY 15th,  10:30am-noon.

 

Snacks, books, pencils, and paper provided. Space is limited to ten participants, so please pre-register at the library. You can sign up for one day or five! This event is free and open to the public. Free!

 

Mathea Morais is the author of the children’s book: I’m Lucy: A Day in the Life of a Young Bonobo that features an afterword by renowned primatologist Jane Goodall.  Mathea has taught creative writing for more than 12 years on Martha’s Vineyard and in Boston and she is currently a high school Social Studies teacher at the Martha’s Vineyard Public Charter School. Mathea was the local editor for Martha’s Vineyard Patch and her freelance work has been published in online and print magazines such as Arts & Ideas Magazine, Trace Urban Magazine and Inshop.com. She lives in Chilmark with her three daughters and husband, painter Chioke R. Morais.
