HereLab Summer Stem Camp Information Session
An Enhanced Sense of Place. Public sensor networks, educational initiatives and technical innovation, here.
On Thursday, July 7 at 5:00pm at the West Tisbury Library, HereLab will share information on new, real-time sensor networks for farms, forest, ponds and towns. Discover more about these networks and about HereLab’s summer STEM camps where young people learn to build and deploy sensors in newly created networks for Island Grown, Polly Hill and Great Pond Foundation.
An Enhanced Sense of Place. Public sensor networks, educational initiatives and technical innovation, here. These and other public networks help Islanders deploy internet connected sensors to better understand and manage natural and built environments through real-time data.
Learn how middle and high school students created and deployed sensors in schools earlier this year. And, hear more about this summer’s internship program.
HereLab’s overall, collaborative goals are to stimulate technical innovation here, to help educate the next generation of tech-aware Islanders, to enable all islanders to better measure and manage our place and to strengthen environmental awareness through publicly available, real-time sensor data.
And, learn about how you can become involved!
This event is free and open to the public.
