DESCRIPTION:Caregivers and their loved ones are invited to join Dawna Hammers and Sue Beardsley for a program centered on the healing power of music. \nThe program will begin with a screening of “Music is Medicine,” a short documentary video produced by Dawna Hammers thanks to a grant from the Cape Cod Arts Foundation. The video explores how music can uplift, connect, and comfort individuals facing physical and cognitive challenges. Following the film, artist and author Sue Beardsley will present a brief talk on her new book, “Comfort,” a daily reflection guide created to support caregivers of those living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Complimentary copies of “Comfort” will be available and attendees are invited to stay for an author signing with Sue Beardsley and a short sing-along with Dawna Hammers. \nFree and open to the public.\n
