Materials, Reserves and Inter-Library Loans
We will make every attempt to obtain any materials that our patrons request. We will purchase many new items upon request if it fits into our collection. Click here to place a hold on new books in our system!
When we cannot purchase an item, we will borrow it from another lending library through our interlibrary system. You may email us your requests at: firstname.lastname@example.org or talk to us in person at the library.
If you would like an item that we have but that is currently on loan to another patron, you may reserve that item and we will notify when it is ready to be picked up.
The Commonwealth Catalog allows CLAMS patrons access to libraries that hold unique collections in order to find items not available in a CLAMS library. It searches through millions of titles at participating libraries across Massachusetts and allows the user to sort results by material type: books, audiobooks, DVDs, etc. Once you request an item through the Commonwealth Catalog it will take a few days for your local library to receive it. The library will notify you when your item(s) are ready for pickup. When you are finished with the Commonwealth Catalog item(s) please return the item(s) to the CLAMS library where you picked up the material. Click the link below to begin using “ComCat.” Follow the instructions for setting up a user account.
