CLASS FULL! Online Memoir Class
Led by Moira Silva

Starting Wednesday, October 7 from 1-2:30pm, the West Tisbury Library will host an online Memoir Workshop led by Moira Silva. Classes will meet virtually through Zoom on five Wednesdays from 12:30-2pm. Sign up is required. Please contact to sign up. Class dates: 10/7, 10/14, 10/21, 10/28, and 11/ 4. Space is limited. Participants are asked to commit to all five sessions. Free and open to the public!

About the class:

In this course, writers are invited to tell whatever story is closest to them. They may choose to dive into what’s happening right now or reflect more broadly on their life’s journeys.

A blend of exercises, readings and discussions will connect writers with their writing and themselves. Participants will form a supportive community while sharing in-process work. We will honor whatever is created, be it essays, songs, letters or entirely new genres. After five weeks, writers will leave lighter in spirit and richer in purpose.

No writing experience required. You will need a device that allows you to use the free program Zoom. Please contact the library at if you need help setting this up.

Facilitated by seasoned writing instructor Moira Convey Silva. She is not so seasoned with online teaching so she appreciates your patience there.
