On Architecture: Three Talks with Bruce MacNelly

Throughout the fall, the West Tisbury Library will continue to host a series of architecture programs with local architect Bruce MacNelly. This series will include three talks addressing some fundamental ways to think about architecture, independent of questions of history or style. The schedule and topics will include:

  • October 10 at 4:30pm – Autonomy & Dependency:The Double Life of Buildings
  • November 14 at 4:30pm – Mask/Veil: Facade and Identity
  • December 12 at 4:30pm – 2D/3D: Painting and Architecture

This series is free and open to the public, and refreshments will be served.

Bruce MacNelly is an architect in West Tisbury, where he has had a practice with his wife, Linda Joy Cohen, since 1984. He has also served as an Associate Professor of Architecture at several institutions, including Harvard’s Graduate School of Design, RISD, and Wentworth Institute of Technology.
