Coding with Amy Fish
‘Coding’ with Amy Fish
At the West Tisbury Library
Come to the West Tisbury Library Friday July 12th at 3:30 pm for a Coding workshop with Amy Fish! Amy Fish, of the Bourne Innovation Lab, and Classroom Without Seats, is coming to the West Tisbury Library to offer two classes for elementary and middle school students on Coding and Robotics. Using the library’s collection of robotic equipment, MindStorm, Evos and Sphero, Amy will teach beginners and intermediates the finer points in creating a robot or how to code. Come be part of the fun at this West Tisbury Steam-y Summer Event!
This program is for ages 8-12 (children under 10 must be accompanied by a mature caregiver) and is free and open to the public. Pre-registration is required, please sign up in the Children’s Room or call 508-693-3366.
This program is part of “Science is Everywhere,” a STEM-focused (science, technology, engineering, and math) event series at the West Tisbury Library created for children, tweens, and teens. This series is made possible by a “Science is Everywhere” LSTA grant (Library Services and Technology Act) administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners. These funds enable the West Tisbury Library to provide opportunities for kids and families to participate in enjoyable and engaging programs, while creating positive experiences with topics in STEM.
For more information about this series and a complete list of “Science is Everywhere” programs, please contact Young Adult Librarian Laura Hearn at the West Tisbury Library.
