Book Talk with Michael Blanchard: Through a Sober Lens

On Thursday, December 12 at 4:30pm, all are invited to the West Tisbury Library for a book talk with Michael Blanchard. Michael will present his newly released book, Through a Sober Lens: A Photographer’s Journey. He will discuss the creation of this book and how it chronicles his journey from the depths of despair of alcoholism to a new life of contribution, connection, and healing through photography. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.

About the author:

Dubbed an “Inspirational Photographer” by the directors of the prestigious Art Buchwald Possible Dreams auction on Martha’s Vineyard, Michael Blanchard uses photography and writing to raise funds for addiction and mental health treatment in his community. With master’s degrees in Health Care Administration and Psychology, he combines the power of imagery with compassionate insight to spread his message of hope. Michael is the author of Fighting For My Life. He lives on Martha’s Vineyard, where he owns The Crossroads Gallery.
