On Wednesday, August 14 at 4:30pm, Ed Levine, author of the newly released memoir Serious Eater: A Food Lover’s Perilous Quest for Pizza and Redemption will appear at the West Tisbury Library in conversation with humorist Jenny Allen. Ed is the founder of the food website “Serious Eats,” and his new book tells the mouthwatering and heartstopping story of building–and almost losing–one of the most acclaimed and beloved food sites in the world. Books will be available for purchase and signing. Refreshments served. This event is free and open to the public.

About the speakers:

Ed Levine is the founder (his employees affectionately call him the overlord) of Serious Eats, as well as creator and host of the Serious Eats podcast, Special Sauce. In 2016, Ed was inducted into the James Beard Foundation’s Who’s Who of Food & Beverage in America.

Jenny Allen is a writer and performer. Her articles and essays have appeared for years in many publications, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, MORE, and Good Housekeeping. Her solo show, “I Got Sick Then I Got Better” has been seen in theaters across the country. Jenny is the author of Would Everybody Please Stop?: Reflections on Life and Other Bad Ideas.
