Architecture Presentation with Bruce MacNelly

Architecture Presentation with Bruce MacNelly

On Tuesday, June 18 at 4:30pm, the West Tisbury Library will present the first in a series of programs by local architect Bruce MacNelly. Mr. MacNelly’s talk, titled “On Dwelling, or, The Jasper Johns Question” will examine the idea of dwelling as an act of the imagination, through discussion of a series of built works from around the world that lie in a middle ground between architecture and environmental sculpture. Two additional architecture-focused talks are planned this summer for July 23 and August 20 at 4:30pm. Refreshments will be served. Free and open to the public.

With his wife, Linda Joy Cohen, Bruce MacNelly is a principal in MacNelly Cohen Architects in West Tisbury. During his academic career he has taught at The Graduate School of Design at Harvard, Rhode Island School of Design, and Wentworth Institute of technology, among other institutions.
