Author Talk with Mary Lou Piland: For the Love of Spumoni

Thursday, October 11th at 4:30pm, the West Tisbury Library will host a talk with local author Mary Lou Piland in honor of her newly released novel, For the Love of Spumoni, co-written by Jenna Barrett Bernstein. This book is Mary Lou’s debut novel, inspired by real events and brought to life with humor, candor, and a good dose of Italian drama. Copies of the book will be available for purchase and signing. Refreshments will be served. This event is free and open to the public.

About the author: When Mary Lou Piland stepped onto the Moth stage in Boston, she became an overnight, viral sensation when she shared a story from her past about her fiercely protective Italian family. The response was nothing short of cataclysmic.

Mary Lou’s message of acceptance, forgiveness, and freedom connected her with 12 million fans from Bali to Bulgaria and Kentucky to Kenya. She was left sorting through messages, emails, speaking invitations, and even a movie deal in the making.
