Architecture Presentation With Bruce MacNelly
Tuesday, February 18 at 4:30-5:30 pm, West Tisbury Architect Bruce MacNelly will continue his series of talks on architecture at the West Tisbury Library. Mr. MacNelly’s three talks scheduled for this winter, all titled “the Most Beautiful Room In The World,” will address different types of rooms, and how scale, ornament, and particularly spatial dynamics serve to make them memorable, meaningful, and – in many different ways – beautiful. This month’s talk will feature outdoor rooms, and the ways they might approach aspects of inhabitation in similar fashion to interior spaces, but by different means. This event is free and open to the public.
About the speaker:
With his wife, Linda Joy Cohen, Mr. MacNelly is a principal in MacNelly Cohen Architects in West Tisbury. During his academic career he has taught at The Graduate School of Design at Harvard, Rhode Island School of Design, and Wentworth Institute of Technology, among other institutions.
